Luna has signed a marketing agreement with Terumo Cardiovascular Systems, the world's leading supplier of products for cardiopulmonary bypass.
Luna Innovations is focused on applying emerging technologies to develop products to overcome challenges faced by the healthcare community. Products and R&D include:
- Fiber optic sensors to provide motion and control over surgical tools, as well as real-time shape or position tracking
- Enhancing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) contrast agents to reduce toxicity while increasing sensitivity of diagnostic imaging for improved disease detection
- Nanosphere compounds tailored to treat specific diseases and conditions, such as allergy and hair loss
- Medical devices utilizing advanced quantitative ultrasonic technology and minimally-invasive biosensors
- Therapeutic to treat disease using cell's signaling pathway
- Biomaterials including antimicrobial bone graft substitutes, hemostatic agents and tissue adhesives
