Roger Van Tassell, Senior Scientist at Luna Innovations Incorporated, has been nominated for an STTR Phase II Quality Award for his project entitled "Fluorescent, Polymerized, Affinity Liposomes for the Detection of Bacterial Toxins."
The Quality Awards Program recognizes exceptional Army SBIR/STTR Phase II projects that represent the best in technology innovation and relevance to the needs of the Army. Each year, nominations are evaluated by a distinguished panel of Army and industry experts based on the following criteria: originality and innovation of research; relevance of the research to the Army mission; and immediate commercialization potential of the research.
The winners and their achievements are recognized at Army and small business conferences throughout the year via the Army SBIR/STTR Phase II Quality Awards Brochure. In addition, winners are presented with awards at a formal awards banquet held in the Washington, D.C. area.
