Being a good corporate citizen is a standard business practice at Luna Innovations Incorporated. At Luna, we care about our communities, our environment and our employees.

Our employee-driven Charitable Contributions Committee ensures that the company puts its time and resources into those programs with elevated needs. Our involvement includes youth mentoring and enrichment programs that focus on promoting engineering and science-oriented career choices, such as NanoTeach and FIRST LEGO League, as well as aiding in workforce development for nanotechnology-based training.

Action Now Luna believes that there is no better time than right now to take action to advance our local and global communities, as well as the health and well-being of our employees. We are taking steps in our day-to-day business to protect our planet and to ensure our employees are safe at work. We are growing our future workforce through internship offerings and sponsorship programs. Additionally, we advocate state and national technology-based economic growth through involvement in such programs as the Task Force on American Innovation, the NanoHealth Enterprise Initiative and Virginia Joint Commission on Technology and Science.

Environmental Stewardship Luna's Environmental Stewardship Committee leads the company in its "going green" efforts by encouraging employees to apply strategies for conservation and sustainability at work and at home. Luna’s Blacksburg location was recognized as one of the first area businesses to adopt the Go Green NRV initiatives. In addition, Luna has renewable energy technologies under development for solar and wind energy.
